National Museum of Roller Skating

The National Museum of Roller Skating is situated in the South Street in Lincoln. The National Museum of Roller Skating offer an exquisite collection and history of roller skating in Lincoln. The museum also sponsors and promotes education and instructive displays, attracting a large number of tourists from all over the world. National Museum of Roller Skating museum exhibit the largest collection of historical roller skates of the beginning of the nineteenth century.

A good number of patents, trophies, photographs, videotapes artworks, films and medals can be found in this museum. There are also costumes, library, archival materials, and roller skating of ancient times. The museum is known for exhibiting a total of about one thousand five hundred volumes of books and periodicals. Among those there are one hundred and twenty five titles in its periodical collection. The archives also include more than eight thousand photographs of roller skaters.

The museum is open from nine in the morning to five in the evening. The museum can be visited from Monday to Friday. The museum is closed on weekends and national holidays. There is no admission fees to the museum. Tee-shirts, pens, pencils, patches, postcards, and paperweights are some of the items that are available for sale. The wide collections at the National Museum of Roller Skating tell about the people and artifacts that have contributed towards the history of roller skating.
