Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball team is recently experiencing a series of success consistently. The team took part in as many as 11 NCAA baseball regionals that were held in 1979, 1980, 1995, 1999, 2000-2007 respectively. Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball has also participated in four super regionals that were held in the years 2000, 2001, 2002 and in 2005. the team was also an active aprticipant of the College World series that were held in the year 2001, 2002 and 2005.
Before the starting of the 2007 season Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball enjoyed the ninth position in the ranking of Collegiate baseball. Though the team did well at te beginning of the season soon it became very evident that the team is young and at the same time inexerienced. During the whole season of 2007 Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball gave inconsistent performances with some high and low points. But at the end they were able to finish in the fourth position in the Big XII. With this they also suceeded to qualify for the Tempe Regional as the 3rd seed. In the tempe regional championship they made it to the final level but unfortuantely losy to the Arizona State.
The home ground of Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball team is the Hawk field situated at the Haymarket Park. But this is only a more recent scenario. Earlier from1979 to the year 2001 Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball team used Buck Beltzer Stadium as their gorund.
The famous memebers of Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball team include Alex Gordon, Shane Komine, Turner Gill, Darin Erstad, Alex Gordon, Bill Mcguire, Troy Brohawn, jamal Strong etc.
