Nebraska Coliseum is the on-campus arena of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln-the capital city of Nebraska. The arena hosts some of best games of the university.Nebraska Coliseum is located in the east of Memorial stadium.

The Nebraska Coliseum arena was inaugurated in the year 1926. At that time the arena was used by the basket ball team of University of Nebraska. In the firsr ever game played in this arena in the year 1926 the home team lost to Kansas. The basketball team of University of Nebraska used to play in this arena till the year 1976. After 1976 the basketball team began to use the Bob Devaney Sports Center as their home ground even before it was complete. Prior to the completion of Bob Devaney Sports Center many of the high school basketball tournaments as well as championsips used to take place at the Nebraska Coliseum for many years.
Since the year 1975 the Nebraska Coliseum began to host the games of the volleyball team of the university. It was only in the year 1991 the volleyball games were played at Daveney sports center. It is the ole exception of the continuous event. Nebraska Coliseum still hosts many volleyball games for the volleyuball team of the University of Nebraska.
From the year 1984 the volleyball team of University of Nebraska began to host at least NCAA volleyball tounament games each year. In the year 1967 Nebraska Coliseum also hosted one game of the NIT. Nebraska Coliseum can also host wrestling championships.
Nebraska Coliseum has always been a favorite arena for the volleyball and basketball teams of the University of Nebraska. In other words most of the games of basketball, volleyball as well as wrestling being played in this arena Nebraska Coliseum has become the popular home ground for the games of University of Nebraska. The 4030 seater game arena is often addressed as NU Coliseum.
