Geography of Lincoln

Lincoln is located at the south-eastern part of the state of Nebraska. The city of Lincoln is located at 40o48’ N and 96o40’31” W. The United States Central Bureau has researched and found out that the total landscape of Lincoln is situated on a land of 195.2 km2. A total area of 1.9km2 consists of water bodies. Lincoln is among the very few large cities in Nebraska, on the bank of the Platte River. The city is situated near Salt Creek and the salty wetlands of the northern County of Lancaster.
